“Blessed are the merciful.” 

 Jesus speaks blessing again, but this time over those who are not just victims of difficult circumstances, but who are acting out of the blessing they have already received.  Those who have known profound need and demonstrate mercy to others in desperate need, will experience the mercy of God multiplied in their hearts.
