Message, “Jesus Knows What it is to Have the Truth Twisted Against You”
We are invited by Matthew’s Gospel to see ourselves in the religious leaders who twist the truth to condemn Jesus. “Exaggerating partial truths to sway an outcome to a desired end” is as old as time. We have experienced the power of such lies told about us and we see this truth twisting used against Jesus, the Word, the Truth, our Life. We have One who has suffered in every way we have and who takes upon himself the consequences of our deception.
