Generosity can be difficult because it asks us to consider whether the lives we are building leave room for something beyond ourselves. Like the rich fool, we can become so focused on our own
needs and ambitions that generosity feels like an inconvenience rather than a natural expression of the life we want to live. Jesus invites us to see generosity not simply as what we do with what is left over, but as an expression of gratitude that gives our lives deeper meaning and purpose.
