Student Registration Form
Volunteer Application Form
Homework Help Club will begin in September and end in May.
The Lewis-Palmer School District #38 school calendar will be
followed. If school is canceled for inclement weather,
Homework Help Club will also be canceled.
Students in grades 3-10 may attend this club, once
registered. The registration form may be picked up at
Mountain Community Mennonite Church or can be printed
online Here.
Students will need to be signed in and out of Homework Help
Club by an adult. In addition, students will need to bring all
materials necessary to make their time in Homework Help
Club productive. Computers and the Internet are available for
student use, but may not be used inappropriately. This club is
not just for homework, students may also use it as a place to
read or study.
All adult/tutor volunteers have experience with children or
teaching and have completed criminal background checks for
the safety of our students.
Homework Help Club @ MCMC was created by Monument
Community Presbyterian Church and Mountain Community
Mennonite Church to provide a free, safe environment to help
students succeed in their educational endeavors. Together
MCMC and MCPC hope to help Tri-Lakes students!
Monument Community Presbyterian Church has had a tutoring program one night a week in the past and we are combining our efforts, expertise, and volunteers. The Flying Colors program will be merged into the HCC. We are looking forward together with excitement and appreciation to MCMC.
The Homework Help Club is located at the Mountain Community Mennonite Church at 375 Hwy 105, Palmer Lake, approximately one mile west from I-25. We have received a grant to fund our program and have acquired computers. We are not seeking financial assistance at this time.
We need assistance in getting the word out of this free service. If you have a child or know of any child that would benefit from the HCC, please call Mountain Community Mennonite Church at 481-3155. Our current volunteer staff includes present and past teachers of all grade levels and other dedicated adults. We do perform background checks on all volunteers.
We are anticipating our program will grow quickly and be in need of more volunteers than our group can provide. If you enjoy working with children, have past teaching experience, can listen to a child read, can help a child with flashcards or spelling words, we would appreciate your help. Please call Mountain Community Mennonite Church at 481-3155 or MCPC at 481-3902. Volunteer commitments can be arranged to meet your desires and schedule.
