Bob Ewell on Making Time Each Day for Jesus
Dear Church family,
This is certainly a strange season! This current crisis pulls us into a profound place – a place where we are more aware than ever of our connection to one another.
Gladly, we fully intend to continue being the church (no doubt learning valuable lessons along the way). So though our building is closed – the church, our church, MCPC is OPEN! We are the Body of Christ, so the church is every where you are!
First, as we all collectively settle into our unusual routine - please know that you are not alone, we’re in this together! Please utilize our Web Site: mcpcusa.org - we’re working on content that will nurture our faith and lift our spirit. We’re learning to worship together while we’re apart – we’ll need to work at this! We’re also setting up ways to communicate and engage with one-another on this site.
Second, continue to monitor your email for MCPC Updates (we will make these available on our Web site as well).
Third, as mentioned last week: Stay connected – Do not underestimate the power of a simple text, email, note, or call! Our office manager, Caron, has attached our MCPC Directory. Please use it. Perhaps pray for those with whom you share the same page.
More soon… As we further organize care for one-another & seek to mobilize to serve our neighbors and community.
Corporate worship has been at the center of our faith for two millennia, but we also affirm the church’s extraordinary adaptability and resilience that has allowed faith to remain strong through all kinds of threatening conditions and challenging circumstances (if that were not so - we wouldn’t be here!). So though we are surprised by the current situation – our God is never surprised and always at work to bring about His redemptive purposes!
